The hotness or coldness of a place or something is called temperature. An instrument which is used to measure temperature is called thermometer. The natural source of hotness is the sun. When it is very hot, we say the temperature is very high and when it is very cold we say the temperature is very low. During cold weather, we are advised to wear heavy clothes like jackets and sweaters. When the temperature is too high, we are advised to wear light clothes or cotton clothes.
