Tanzania is a democratic country where by people through their representatives make decision of all matters concerning all matters done in our country. There are two major types of democracy which are direct and indirect democracy. Direct democracy is normally exercised in areas with less population while indirect democracy which uses representatives is exercised in areas with high population. Our country exercises the indirect democracy where few people represent the majority. In addition the direct democracy is used in village or street governments where the village assembly has full decision making in a village . Ward councillors and members of the parliament are elected by citizen after every five years to work for the majority in a country.
