014 BIBLE KNOWLEDGE

TIME: 3:00 HOURS SEPTEMBER, 2026

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This paper consists of section A, B and C with total of thirteen (13) questions.
  2. Answer all questions in section A, five (5) from section B and two questions from section C.
  3. Section A carries twenty-five (25) marks, section B forty-five (45) marks and section C thirty (30) marks.
  4. All communication devices, Bible and any unauthorized materials are not allowed in the examination room.
  5. Write your examination number on every page of your answer sheets.

SECTION A (25 Marks)

Answer all questions from this section

1. From each items (i) – (xx) choose the letter of the correct answer from among the five alternative given and write it in the space provided.

9. Like Samson leaders are chosen by God to direct people in the required manner, however many leaders fail to accomplish the role given by God. With reference to Samson as the Lords Nazirite.

(a) Briefly describe who was Samson, Give the conditions God gave to his mother before his birth. (3 Marks).

(b) Samson told his companions “let me put now a riddle to you, if you can tell me what is within seven days of the feast …”, “out of the eater came something to eat, out of the strong came something sweet” Give the answer of the riddled and its result.

(c) Describe any three lessons you learn from Samson. (03 Marks)

10. With the reference of the Gospel According to Luke 22: 39 - 46, give short explanation on the following

(a) Gethsemane (03 Marks)

(b) Golgotha (03 Mar)

(c) The temple (03 Marks)

SECTRION C (30 MARKS)

(Answer only two (2) questions from this section)

11. This year is the year of General Election in Tanzania. With reference to the books of Exodus, Numbers and Deuteronomy summarize at least four lessons that the political leaders of today should learn from Moses’ leadership. (15 marks)

12. The external sign of the covenant between God and Abraham was through circumcision (Gen 17:10-14). Giving four points show the importance of it to the believers of today. (15 marks)

13. The Early Church is role model for choosing leaders in different positions (Acts 1:14-26, 6:1-6). With four points comment the elections done in the church nowadays if it reflects the reality of God’s will. (15 Marks)
