Matter is anything that occupies space and has weight. There are three states of matter; solids liquids and gases. The solids have closely packed particles. The closeness of the particles in solids gives them a definite shape and volume. In liquids, the particles are far apart than solids but close together when compared to gases.

The liquids have a definite volume but take the shape of the container in which they are placed. In the gases, the particles are further apart and this makes the gases to lack both definite shape and volume. When the gases are put in a container, they fill up the whole space.

Jeshi la ndege lilifika nyumbani kwa popo na kumwambia “ Twende vitani ewe popo ndege mwenzetu”Popo alikataa na kusema “ Mimi ni mnyama na si ndege kama ninyi”. Baadaye jeshi la wanyama nalo lilifika nyumbani kwa popo na kumwambia “ Twende vitani ewe popo mnyama mwenzetu”. Popo alikataa tena na kujibu “ Mimi ni ndege na wala si mnyama kama ninyi”. Basi kukawa na ngurumo za kutishaza wanyama shupavukama vile simba, duma na tembo, na ndege shupavu kama vile tai na mbuni. Majike wenye ndama na majike wenye makinda walihisi kiama chao kimefika. Kwa bahati nzuri sana, katika dakika za mwisho kuelekea vita, muafakaulifikiwakati ya pande hizo mbili na vita ikaepukwa. Kukawa na amani badala ya mapigano. Makundi yote mawili yakawa na shamrashamraza kusherehekea kuepukana na mgogoro. Kuona hivyo, popo naye alitamani kuwa sehemu ya shamrashamra hizo. Alikwenda kwa ndege akitakakujiunga nao lakini ndege walimfukuza. Baadayae akaenda kwenye kundi la wanyama nao walimfukuza. Popo akabaki kuwa njia panda kwani hakuruhusiwa kujiunga na kundi la ndege au kundi la wanyama.

THE ORIGIN OF TANZANIA 

Before 1964 there was country called Tanganyika which got her independence in December, 1961, and also there is island called Zanzibar which got her independence in December, 1963. On 12th January, 1964 the people of Zanzibar over through the sultan of Zanzibar and Abeid Amani Karume became the first president of Zanzibar. The origin of Tanzania is the union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Tanganyika and Zanzibar united on 26th April 1964 to form the United Republic of Tanzania. Julius Kambarage Nyerere became the first president of Tanzania.
