  1. This paper consists of section A, B and with the total of 10 questions
  2. Answer all questions in section A, and B, and one questions from section C.
  3. All communication devices, Bible and any unauthorized materials are not allowed in the Examination room.

SECTION A (15 Marks)

Answer all questions under this section

1. For each of the following item (i) — (x) choose the best answer from among the given alternatives and write its letter in the space provided

i. When studying creation story one may discover that God is omnipotent, what does it mean?

Answer all questions in this section

3. Abraham and Sarah got Isaac their promised son in their old age, and were very happy. However, God ordered Abraham to offer Isaac as burnt offering on the mountain in Moriah (Genesis 22:1-14).

  1. Why did God command Abraham to offer his son as burnt offering while he had promised to make Abraham a great nation through Isaac?

4. Jacob paid bride price by serving for seven years in order to marry Rachel but on the day of marriage, he was given Leah instead of Rachel (Genesis 29:15-25)

6. In our life today, some people go through different challenges as it was with the Israelites in Egypt. There is the challenge of child labour, killing of innocent people and abuse of power from leaders. This is evident in (Exodus 1:8-22)

  1. What was the condition of the Israelites before oppression?
  2. What was the fear of the new King of Egypt over the Israelites' prosperity?
  3. How did the Hebrew newly born male babies survive the killings?
  4. Give two lessons driven from the midwives' action over Pharaoh's order
  5. What was God's purpose or allowing trials and difficulties to Israel?

7. When God planned to send Moses and Aaron back to Pharaoh for the second time so as to allow the Israelites to get out of Egypt, God passed to both of them some responsibilities. Exodus 7:1-2.

(c) As a Bible knowledge student what three behaviours can you copy from Joseph can make you potential in the community you dwell

10. One among the challenging issues in our society today is rape. It is not a selective crime; it may happen on streets, in cars, in schools, in parks, or in backstreets. Imagine you are given an opportunity to talk to young ladies in your home place, analyse the preventive measures to take that you will address to your audience. (Give five points)
